Purchase

A purchase is an Elements subscription. Each subscription runs for a fixed term and includes a bundle of licenses. Renewing extends it for another term.

What a Purchase Includes

A purchase bundles more than one license at a discount. The licenses are interchangeable: use them on whichever machines you like.

The bundling is intended to cover both ends of your workflow, the machine you develop from and the machine you deploy to, with a single subscription. You can allocate them differently if it suits you, for instance across several development machines.

The page is a hosted checkout. Payment, contact information, and license activation all happen there. If the browser can't open automatically, the command prints the URL so you can visit it from another machine.

After you complete checkout, the licenses are delivered to your machines automatically. No further commands are required.

The Subscription Period

The term is paid for up front, and the software continues to run through the end of the term regardless of whether you renew. See elements.dev/pricing for the current term length.

Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically by default. At the end of each term the subscription extends for another term and your card is charged.

You can opt out of auto-renewal from your account at any time. The current term still runs to completion. When it ends, the subscription lapses and you can renew it manually from the same page whenever you're ready.

Renewals and Your Machines

On every renewal, whether automatic or manual, the licenses on every machine you've checked out to are updated for the new term. You don't need to run anything on each machine.

Adding More Licenses

If the included licenses aren't enough for your team or for additional deployment machines, you can buy more from your Elements account. Additional licenses join the same subscription and renew on the same cycle.
