In this video we tour elements.dev (opens in a new tab) signed in: the demos, Learn, the install page, search, the Discuss community, the get-started guide, the manual, issues and your profile.

1. Demos, Learn, Install and search

  • Demos (opens in a new tab): apps already built on Elements. Use one as the starting point for your app, or look at what is possible. They are open source and MIT licensed.
  • Learn (opens in a new tab): guides and videos, including this series.
  • Install (opens in a new tab): the install script, if you need it again. Paste it into the VS Code terminal or any terminal.
  • Search, at the top. Click it or press Command-K.

2. Discuss

Discuss (opens in a new tab) is the Elements community. Once you have an account, click New to create a post and choose who sees it:

  • Public, for everyone.
  • Members of the community.
  • Private, for people you invite. To ask the Elements team a question privately, make the post private and invite @elements.

Ask questions there, or show what you are working on. Click the up arrow on a post you like to give the post a vote, and open a post to comment.

3. The get-started guide and the manual

The get-started guide is at elements.dev/start (opens in a new tab), and in search, on the install page and in the footer. It is a quick reference for the steps in this series, in VS Code or in the terminal.

The manual (opens in a new tab) is written mostly for agents, and people can read it too.

4. History, issues and your profile

  • History (opens in a new tab): the story of Elements.
  • Create, in search: start a new discussion or a new issue. Issues are for bugs and problems you find, and the Elements team looks at each one.
  • Your profile, in search: your account and your settings.
